Diagnosing the Problem – Why It Didn’t Work

The stalk and wiring checked out, but the 086 BCM (Body Control Module) lacked the necessary support for cruise control. We sourced a compatible 087 BCM, installed it, and carried out the required coding and adaptations. With the new module in place, we enabled cruise control functions, calibrated the system, and confirmed everything through the instrument cluster and test drive. The result? A fully working BCM steering wheel retrofit with cruise control operating just like it would from the factory.

We Didn’t Stop There – Steering Wheel Re-Trim

While the van was in, the customer also asked for a steering wheel upgrade. We retrimmed the wheel in premium leather with a smooth finish—adding both comfort and style to the driving experience. It’s a small touch that makes a big difference, especially when paired with the new functionality.
